Monuments

Permanent memorials, headstones, and grave markers serve as lasting symbols of your loved one’s final resting place, offering a tangible reminder of the bond you shared. These tributes provide a space for reflection and remembrance, while also marking the lives of those who are no longer with us for future visitors. For many families, the act of creating a meaningful memorial brings comfort during the grieving process, with visits to the site offering continued solace over time.

Your monument provider is happy to work with you to create a permanent tribute to the life of your loved one. No matter what you have in mind, any gravestone or larger memorial structure you can dream of can be created for you.

Monument Materials

Monuments can be made from a variety of materials, each offering unique options. We provide granite grave markers and headstones in multiple colors, as well as cast bronze memorials. Granite can be shaped in different styles, while bronze markers typically rest flat on the ground. Both materials offer a range of pricing options to meet your family's needs.

Memorial Configurations

Your monument provider offers a variety of styles to help you honor your loved one in a way that best reflects their life. Below are descriptions of different configurations to guide you in the memorial planning process:

Upright Monuments
Upright monuments consist of a vertical piece (the “die”) placed on a horizontal base. These monuments can be designed for single or double memorials.

Flat or Flush Marker
Flat markers, made from granite or bronze, rest flat on the grave. Typically 3-4 inches thick, these markers are available in both single and double sizes.

Bevel Marker
Bevel markers feature a flat surface that is slightly raised above the grave with a subtle slant from front to back. Available for individual or companion memorials.

Slant Markers
Slant markers have a front panel that slopes away from the burial site, with the back edge elevated. The panels can be flat, oval, or serpentine in shape and are available for one or two plots.

Specialty Monuments
In addition to traditional markers, your provider can craft custom memorials such as benches, crosses, or other unique designs. Keep in mind that the type of burial site may influence the available monument options. For more information, please reach out to our office or your monument provider.

Monument Ornamentation

After choosing the materials and design for your monument, there are various ways to personalize it with ornamentation. Keep in mind that the size and style of the monument may affect the types of decorations you can include. Contact your provider for details on the following options:

Ornamental Carving
Many providers offer a wide range of over 300 images and themes to carve into your memorial, either by hand or using sandblasting. These can include religious symbols, flowers, animals, sports themes, and decorative frames.

Ornamental Etching
Hand or laser etching allows for intricate and detailed designs to be etched into your chosen monument. Your provider can offer a variety of etched images or reproduce any artwork you wish to include.

Ornamental Lettering
You can choose from various fonts and carving techniques for any text you wish to include, such as the deceased's name, life dates, quotes, or scripture verses. Your monument provider can give you a complete list of available options.
