Willis W. David, 91, Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am until service time. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Willis was born on January 28, 1930 in Marshfield, to Wendelin and Thecla (Youngwirth) David and was a 1949 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. From 1950 until 1953 he served in the National Guard and then served in the United States Army from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1955. He married Jeanne J. Graff on October 7, 1950 at St. John's Catholic Church. Willis began working at Berg Equipment Company in Marshfield before entering the military service and after his discharge resumed employment there until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. After retirement he and Jeanne enjoyed traveling and he made trips to Montana where he enjoyed elk hunting and walleye fishing. He was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus John Eisen Council #1799 of Marshfield. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jeanne and their children, Sandra (Neil) Ostby of MT, Shari (Marvin) Bell, of WI, Mary (Robert) Formell of MI, Kenneth (Dawn) David of WI, Alan David of WI, Willis (Teri) David, Jr. of MT, Barbara Nikolai of WI, Jane Winninghoff of MT, Glen David of WI and Ruth (Mitch) LeGrand of WI. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He is further survived by two sisters, Rosemary Heggelund and Carol (John) Berg and a brother, Wendelin (Dianne) David, Jr., sisters-in-law, Theresa David and Joan David and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Patrick Scott LeGrand, sisters, Sylvaria Drews and Cecilia Trowbridge and brothers, Jerry, Jack and Daniel David. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of the donors choice.
