William T. Weiler, Sr. 90 of Auburndale died on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Thursday, January 2, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburndale with Fr. Barnabas Kyea officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitations will be from 9:30am Thursday until time of services at the church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Bill was born on June 14, 1923 to Albert and Margaret (Bruders) Weiler in Marshfield. Growing up, Bill worked on the family farm. He later worked at the mill and at Fisher Body in Janesville for several years. Bill also worked in industrial construction and raised livestock on his own farm. Bill enjoyed refinishing antique parlor stoves, cutting wood, cars, deer hunting, fishing and all wildlife. He was a talented artist, loving father, son, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He also loved his dog, Mike. He would reminisce about his past, including all that he had seen and his many accomplishments. His stories will be deeply missed. Bill is survived by his two sons, William Weiler, Jr. of Glidden, Patrick (Mary Paul) Weiler of West Bend, grandson, Cory (Tara) Weiler of Wisconsin Rapids, great granddaughter Jerzie Weiler, his longtime partner, Patricia Babcock of Auburndale and her children, Sandy (Bob) Capaul of Alma Center, Sheila (Steve) Kundinger of Arpin, Norman (Lori) Babcock of Marshfield, Mark (Shelley) Babcock of Auburndale and Kelly Soppe of Auburndale. He is further survived by his two sisters Colleen Bord and Marg Remitz both of Wisconsin Rapids, sister-in-law Lucille Weiler of Wisconsin Rapids and nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a great grandson, Calan Weiler, great granddaughter, Greta Weiler, brother Tom Weiler, sister June York, and three brothers-in-law Jim Bord, Joe York and Walter Remitz.
