William Dexter Hiles, Jr., 57, went to be with his heavenly family on April 25, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm Sunday at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home in Pittsville with Pastor Wanda Veldman officiating. Burial will be in King George Hiles Memorial Cemetery in Dexterville. Visitation will be 12:30pm to service time at the Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home in Pittsvile.
He leaves behind his wife of 32 years Donna (nee Hendrickson) Hiles; four stepchildren: Jamie (Rachel) Stascak, Shannon (Terry) Gore, Robert (Crystal) Stascak, & Diana Stascak; and 18 grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister: Sue (Ed) Hendrickson; and brothers: Fred (Julie) Hiles, & Tim (Sheryl) Hiles. He also leaves behind many loving nieces & nephews.
He was born in Wisconsin Rapids on December 2, 1958 to William Dexter & LouAnn (nee Freund) Hiles.
Bill loved being with his friends & family hunting, fishing, or just telling tall tales. He was so proud of his many years working at the Catalyst Paper Mill, being a veteran of the Marine Corps, being an American Legion & Lions member, and mostly being a grandfather; for he would say they were all exceptional and advanced.
Bill was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Dexter & Marion Hiles; maternal grandparents: Vincent (Cal) and Angela Freund. He also greets in heaven two of his grandchildren: Mason Stascak & Nora Gore.
We would like to thank everyone at Wisconsin Rapids Cancer Center, Aspirus clinics & hospitals. You guys were great.
