William "Bill" L. Coulthard,Sr., 68, Pittsville, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville. Burial will take place in St. Joachim Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 153 of Pittsville. The visitation will be held on Friday from 4:30 pm until 7:00 pm at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville and on Saturday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Joachim Catholic Church.
William was born on February 23, 1946 in Aberdeen, WA to Neal and Eleanor (Baxter) Coulthard and was a 1964 graduate of Pittsville High School. In 1965 he entered the United States Army and completed his military training in Fort Lewis, WA and served active duty in Vietnam from 1966 until 1967. He married Patricia L. Schutz on June 22, 1968 at St. Joachim Catholic Church.
Bill was employed for 45 years at the Port Edwards / Nekoosa paper mills and thoroughly loved his job. At the time of his retirement he was a senior process engineer in Research and Development.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with family and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and their children Robert (Diana) Coulthard of Pittsville, Mike (Amber) Coulthard of Readstown, and Pamela (Scott) Clifford of Holmen. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Miranda, McKenna, Wyatt, Scott, Jessica, Mason, Cheyenne and Monique. He is further survived by 3 sisters, Carol Cegielski of Arpin, Shirley (Herb) Jepson of Stanley and Judy (Ed) Braun of Rockford, MN.
He was predeceased by his parents and a son, William, Jr.
