William was born on December 4, 1944 in Marshfield to Carl and Ruth (Boehm) Luder. He was united in marriage to Barbara Hunt on September 4, 1971 in Beloit.

After owning and operating Luder's Lumberyard until its closure in 1986, he continued his career with A&B Process Systems, where he worked until retirement. He found his greatest joy outdoors, spending countless hours caring for and enjoying his property. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a lifetime member of the NRA and deeply appreciated the beauty of nature and the traditions of the outdoors. He was also a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #624 and the Republican Party. Throughout the years, he enjoyed participating in local bowling and softball leagues, forming many lasting friendships along the way. He also loved to travel, creating cherished memories with family and friends through adventures near and far. His strong work ethic, community involvement, love of the outdoors, and devotion to family and friends will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, son, Ryan (Lori Lae) of Marshfield, daughter, Lori Ann of Madison, and sister in law, Margaret Peggy Hunt of Beloit.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Big thanks to all his friends for all the memories and good times, he'll have a cold one ready for you.
