Obituary

William "Bill" Wilfred Wehe passed away on February 10th, 2026 at Premier Care Center in Palm Springs, CA. He was born on September 15th,1943 in Loyal, WI to Eugene J. Wehe Sr. and Alice Mae (Schmidtke). 

Bill served with the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1967. After leaving the Army Bill moved to Long Beach, CA. and started working at Weyerhaesuer as a forklift operator. He retired after 40 years with the company. In 2009 Bill moved to Yucca Valley, CA where he resided until the time of his death. Bill had a passion for travel and never met a stranger. He met friends wherever he went. In addition to his trips to WI and AK to visit family and friends he spoke frequently of two special trips. In 1995 he traveled to St Thomas, USVI to surprise his niece, Tammy (Wehe) Holder to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. In 2005 he took a trip to the home of his paternal grandfather, Boniface Wehe in Heustreu, Germany. During his visit he was able to meet several of his cousins and visit the house his grandfather was born in. Bill's next love was cooking. He was known for his cheesecakes, pickling skills, and fish fries. He loved to prepare food for others and he shared his passion of cooking with many.

 Bill was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Ronald, Eugene Jr., Shirley, Duane, Richard, Karen, Kathleen, Roger, Kenneth, and David. He is survived by his sister Margaret, and his brothers Michael and James along with many nieces and nephews.

 A celebration of life will be held in Yucca Valley, CA at the Elks Lodge on Wednesday, March 25th from 4pm to 7pm. A celebration of life will be held at Rembs in Marshfield, WI on Sunday, June 7th from 12:00 to 4:00 PM.
