IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Walter H.
Frost
December 29, 1947 – November 28, 2025
Walter H. Frost, 77, of Babcock died peacefully Friday, November 28, 2025 at the Marshfield Medical Center.
A Get Together to remember Walt will be held at the Town of Remington Town Hall in Babcock from 1-5pm on Saturday, December 6th.
Walt was born December 29, 1947, in Wisconsin Rapids to Donald and Beulah (Gage) Frost. He grew up in Babcock and attended schools in Pittsville. Following high school, he attended Mid-State Technical College to pursue a degree in Welding. He retired from the Wisconsin Rapids Paper Mill and continued to weld into his retirement.
Walt was a true jack-of-all-trades, someone everyone relied on to build or fix just about anything. He passed on the value of hard work and a do-it-yourself spirit to his family. An outdoorsman through and through, he loved camping, hunting, fishing, trap shooting, maple-syrup season, and spending time at the cabin with his brother. He enjoyed a game of pool, listening to live music, cooking, and sharing a laugh. Walt also delighted in traveling, especially on his annual trips to the U.P.
Walter is survived by his children: Julie (Brian) Hanrahan of Hartford, Jason Frost of Babcock, Pam (Charlie) Danischefsky of Pittsville, and Cassie (Tanya) Frost of Stevens Point. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Jordan & Emily Hanrahan, Mason & Morgan Frost, Tara Free, and Kaitlyn Frost; siblings Jacquie (Carl) Erwin, Sally (Gary) Raab, Peggy (Howard) Pelot, all of Wisconsin Rapids, Faye(Arnie) Nessa of Florida, and Rex Frost of Babcock; and his German Shorthair companion Hans.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Jerry Frost, Donna (Dick) Iverson, and Doris (Ken) Lemke, and his dear dogs Dock & Bud.
The family wishes to send their appreciation to his many friends who shared in his laughter.
