Wallace (Wally), son of Dorothea and Henry Linzmeier, was born on March 26, 1938. Following graduation from Auburndale High School he enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in California, serving as a mechanic. Upon discharge he returned to Central Wisconsin, where he met and married Mary Lois Breu on October 17, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale. Married for 62 years, they farmed in the Auburndale/Milladore area until retirement in 2018. Wally was a dairy farmer who had many skills which included masonry, welding, carpentry, and mechanics. He thoroughly loved farm life. He often said he would never quit farming and continued until age 80. For a number of years, he served on the Milladore town board. Wally was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and trapping. He was especially proud of his coon hounds, which he personally trained. It brought him great joy to share hunting experiences with family and friends. In addition, Wallace was a lifelong member of St. Kilian's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary and four children: Gary (Sandy), Milladore, Susan (Michael) Kollross, Milladore, Wayne (Jodi), Auburndale, and Cheryl (Terry) Linzmeier, New London. He is also survived by siblings: Julius (Mae), Auburndale, Marcel (Nancy) Minocqua, Dale (Marlene), Milladore, and Merald "Moe" Linzmeier, Auburndale. Also surviving are grandchildren: Nick, Aaron, Megan, Troy, Mason, Isaac, Geremiah, Leah, and Kaylah. He is further survived by five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, oldest brother Donald, and sister, Beverly Hach. The family would like to thank the Wells Nature
View and Heartland Hospice staff for their care, kindness, and compassion.
