Wallace C. Grubofski, 83 of Pittsville, died on Sunday evening, September 23, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital Emergency Room. Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home in Pittsville with Rev. Tom Hahn officiating. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, Pittsville. Visitations will be from 4-7pm Tuesday at the Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 10am until time of service. Wallace was born on May 15, 1929 on the home farm in Pittsville to Otto and Mary (Kreitlow) Grubofski. He was married to Loraine Parks on August 7, 1954 and later divorced. He bought the family farm and while farming, he worked as a cheese maker for Arpin Dairy until it closed its doors. He had been a resident at Bethel Center since April of 2012. Wallace is survived by his three children, Sue Meyer of Marshfield, Mark (Rae Ann) Grubofski of Camp Douglas and Brenda (Mark) Kilheffer of Green Bay; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings, Carl Grubofski of Elgin, IL, Fred Grubofski of Pittsville, Richard Grubofski of Marshfield, Otto (Mary) Grubofski of Wisconsin Rapids, Larry Grubofski of Wisconsin Rapids, Johnny Grubofski of Pittsville, Susie (Donald) Sladek of Granton, Ida Flewellen of Marshfield, Laura (Dexter) Brue of Loyal and Bertha (Richard) Drackley of Marshfield.
