Virgil W. Brooks, 83, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center. Virgil was born on November 12, 1938 in Fayette, Iowa, one of five children, to William Perry and Catherine Ann (Mihm) Brooks. Virgil was employed at Miller Cheese, Marshfield, Wiskerchen Cheese, Auburndale, Weinbrenner Shoe Factor, Marshfield, and then at Silvercote/Manville, Marshfield, until his retirement. Virgil had a love for animals, especially dogs and cats and enjoyed vintage cars. He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer and three grandchildren. He is also survived sister, Betty Hendrickson of Viroqua and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Eddie and Robert Brooks and sisters, Fern Yeager and Florence Truslow. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
