Violet Pralle, 92, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026 at Edgewater Haven where she was residing for the last 1½ years.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Pastor Bruce Naugle will officiate. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery, Pittsville.

Violet was born on March 27, 1933 in Momence, Illinois to Wilbur and Mabel Steele. She attended Brown School and Momence High School. She married Myron Crawford, had 2 sons, and later divorced.

She married the love of her life David Pralle in 1954 and they were blessed with 5 more children. In 1968 they moved from Momence to Pittsville, Wisconsin. Pittsville with its hometown feel and overwhelming kindness welcomed them for their remaining years.

She was a wife, mother and grandmother to many. Violet enjoyed sewing (many blankets were made for her grandchildren). She loved working search word books, puzzles and reading. She enjoyed family gatherings on the farm along with spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by 6 children, Gary Crawford, Davy Pralle, Monte (Krissi) Pralle, Rodney (Pam) Pralle, Rene (Peter) Yetter, all of Pittsville and Deborah (Richard) Armagost of Wisconsin Rapids, 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Donald (Ramona) Steele of Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David; son, Rick Crawford; five brothers and five sisters.
