Obituary

Vilen N. "Bud" Herman 86 of Marshfield died on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Golden Living Center Continental Manor in Abbotsford. Private memorial services will be at Rembs Funeral Home with Fr. Savarimuthu Selvalaj officiating with burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held a later date. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Bud was born on November 30, 1927 in Marshfield to Norbert and Eleanor (St. Dennis) Herman. Bud attended Marshfield Schools and joined the United State Army in 1946 where he served in the Occupational Forces in Japan, post World War II. He was united in marriage to Monica C. Bloechl on May 17, 1952 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Merrill. He owned and operated Automatic Laundry from 1953-1982, then drove taxi until 2009. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking trips to upper Wisconsin and going to the casinos. Bud is survived by his wife Monica for 62 years, 4 daughters, Ann (David) Pauly of Middleton, Deb (Harold) Tauschek of Marshfield, Barb (Mic) Manlick of Goodyear, AZ and Sue (Ken) Wartgow of Marshfield. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren and 3½ great grandchildren. A special thank you goes to all of the people at the Golden Living Center for making Bud's last month's so comfortable.
