Victor P.'Woodpile' Multerer, 86 of Marshfield died on Monday morning, June 10, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield with burial in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitations will be from 9:30am Wednesday until time of services at Rembs Funeral Home. Victor was born on September 13, 1926 in Marshfield to Peter and Helen (Huth) Multerer. After his education at St. John's School, he enlisted in the United States Army during World War II. He served from November 30, 1945 until his honorable discharge on December 15, 1946. Prior to and after his military service, he worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory in Marshfield for over 42 years before he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and gardening. He was united in marriage of Lorraine L. Thieme on July 2, 1951 in Dubuque, IA. She died on October 10, 1995. Victor is survived by his children, Donna (Neal) Werner of Edgar, Mary (Michael) Przybylski of Mosinee, Anne (Mark) Guenther of Marshfield, Debbie Zschernitz of Marshfield and Peter "Bucky" (Sharon) Multerer of Marshfield; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Delores Stuhr of Butler and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, and wife Lorraine, he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Megan, one brother and one sister.
