Vickie L. Hiles, 63 of Marshfield died on Monday morning, October 7, 2013 at the Golden Living Center Three Oaks in Marshfield. She was under the care of AseraCare Hospice of Wausau. Memorial services will be 11am Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield. Burial will be in the Dexterville Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive relatives and friends at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield from 10am until time of services on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Vickie was born on June 9, 1950 in Wisconsin Rapids to Paul and Vera (Lilley) Hiles. She graduated from Pittsville High School and attended Technical College. She was united in marriage to Frank C. Gardner in 1980 in Pittsville and he died on November 5, 2011. They farmed in the Pittsville area until moving to the City of Pittsville. She worked as a custodian for Figi's before going into elder care. Vickie enjoyed crocheting, needle work and searching the history of Wisconsin farms. Vickie is survived by her three sons, Jacob Sternitzky of Pittsville, Kenneth Gardner of Fond du Lac and Michael (Alicia) Gardner of Pittsville and a granddaughter. She is further survived by her mother Vera (Bill) Benson of Stratford and three brothers Steve (Chris) Hiles of Wisconsin Rapids, Mike (Robin) Hiles of Dexterville, Jim (Cindy) Hiles of Wisconsin Rapids, and two sisters Kathy (Scott) Kann of Stratford and Barb (Mark) Maxim of Unity.
