Timothy J. "Timmer" Spindler, 34, Stratford, died on Sunday, January 8, 2012 in the Town of Green Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 13, 2012 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Rozellville. Rev. Eric Berns will officiate and music will be provided by St. Andrews Folk Choir. Burial will take place in St. Andrews Cemetery and cousins and friends will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and on Friday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Tim was born on April 9, 1977 in Marshfield, the son of John "Jack" and Paulette (Weidman) Spindler and was a 1995 graduate of Stratford High School. As a young man he farmed with his father. After his fathers death in 2001 he took over operation of the farm until July 2011 when he sold the cows and celebrated with a HUGE fireworks display. He continued to crop farm and in July 2011 he began working with his cousin Troy Spindler as a welder at True Stainless Enterprises based in Missouri. Timmer had been currently "home" since September 30, 2011 to do fall crops, go deer hunting and be with family for the holidays. Tim won the Young Farmers Award through the Marathon County Agriculture Society in August 2004. He was a hard worker and farmed hard. His family thought of him as a work-a-holic. Many times you would get up in the night to see headlights in the field. Timmer also continued the tradition that his dad started by handing out nicknames to his family and friends. He enjoyed life, loved his family and was more of a big brother than a little brother. He was always there for everyone. He never said no and always had a smile on his face. Tim was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many Canadian fishing trips with his brothers-in-law and cousins. This tradition started at the age of five with his dad, grandpas and uncle, Dick Spindler. He is lovingly survived by his mother, Paulette and three sisters, Tab (Randy) Eiberg and their children, Brittany (Jake) Boyer, Adam and Kaitlyn; Tina (Adam) Rauch and their children, Tessa and Austyn; and Tammy (Eric) Zenner and their children, Dylan and Jack, all of Stratford. He is also survived by many, many friends, aunts, uncles, cousins and his Godparents, John and Ginny Bangart. He was predeceased by his father on October 24, 2001, a sister in infancy, his grandparents, Harold "Bud" and Lela Spindler and Ralph and Dorothy Weidman. Memorials may be designated in his name to St. Andrews Parish. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
