Thomas E. Pagenkopf, 78, of Marshfield died in the early morning of Tuesday the 6th of January at the Marshfield Medical Center following a heart attack.

There will be a Celebration of Life in honor of Tom 10am to 2pm on Sunday, February 15th at the Wildwood Station at 1800 South Roddis Avenue in Marshfield. Those coming are asked to bring a dish and a story to share.

Tom was born February 13, 1947, in Marshfield to George and Lucille (Frei) Pagenkopf. He was raised in the Neillsville area on the family farm attending Catholic School, graduating from Neillsville High School in 1966. Tom was united in marriage to the former Miss Dawn Schmutzler April 17th, 1982, at St. John's Church in Riplinger. During his youth he enjoyed participating in High School Football and was a member of the FFA. Following his education, he found work with several different concrete construction companies before starting his own business: Pagenkopf and Sons Concrete Construction. Tom enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing, camping, and family celebrations.

Tom is lovingly survived by his wife of 43 years Dawn; his children: Heather (Todd) Jensen of Marshfield, Ryan (Tanya) Pagenkopf of Loyal, Eric Pagenkopf of Granton, and Miranda Pagenkopf of Marshfield. He is further survived by grandchildren: Ashtin, Karston, and Kolton Pagenkopf, Kasey and Alani Carter, and Jude Pagenkopf; great-grandchildren: River Henry and Rhett Smith; and siblings: June (Don) Warren, Raymond (LaVonne) Pagenkopf, John (Monica) Pagenkopf, Brenda (Butch) Wallace, and Virginia (Monte) Gress, all of Neillsville.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents George & Lucille, brother Donald, and mother-in-law Sandy Schmutzler.
