Obituary

Thomas L. Ludtke, 73, Pittsville, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 4, 2021 at Crossroads Church, Pittsville, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am until service time. Rev. David Bratlie will officiate. Military rites will be conducted at the church following the service by the American Legion Post 153 of Pittsville. Interment will take place in Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, Wisconsin, at a later date. Thomas was born on September 11, 1948, in Chicago, the son of Nils and Betty (Kennedy) Vennergrund. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War from September 13, 1967, until his honorable discharge on July 24, 1973. Tom was employed as a meat cutter / manager his entire life until his retirement. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, watching You-tube, watching the birds and squirrels and his animals. He was a Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers and NASCAR fan. He married Lynda J. Blanchard on February 18, 1994 in Wisconsin Rapids. He is survived by his wife, Lynda, his children, Patrick (Dani) Ludtke of West Allis, Kelly Ludtke of Burlington, stepchildren, Jason Frost of Babcock, and Julie (Brian) Hanrahan of Hartford. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Cala (Wes) Newholm, Trey Warren, Jordan (Cassidy Perez) Hanrahan, Emily (Andrew) Thorton, Mason (Alicia) Frost, and Morgan (Josh Giesfeldt) Frost, and four great grandchildren, Liam, Sophia, Ethan and Olivia. He is further survived by his siblings, Randy Ludtke, Missouri, Don (Doris) Vennergrund, South Carolina, Judi (Jim) McGuire, Texas and Jim (Nancy) Vennergrund, Indiana and his former wife, Jan. He was preceded in death by his parents. A special thanks to Heartland Hospice, Elaine and Tami (you hold a special place in our hearts), best friend, Randy Starewicz, Pastor Dave and Shawna and Dewey and Kim Meyer.
