A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, July 10, 2026 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Hewitt with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. Tom was born on May 15, 1950 in Marshfield to Stephen and Mary (Weissenbeck) Forst. He was united to Georgia Kath on April 27, 1974 at St. Phillip’s Catholic Church in Rudolph. She passed away on June 15, 2006.
Tom lived life to the fullest and raised his family in the small town of Hewitt, Wisconsin. He worked as a truck driver for Northern Auto Parts/Carquest for 40 years. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Hewitt Fire Department. After retiring, he continued to operate a small beef farm with his cousin Gary Bredl. Tom enjoyed working on the farm and was very proud of his cows, his dog Smokey, his equipment and machinery, and his ability to fix just about anything.
People often turned to him for advice, and he never hesitated to help someone who needed a hand. Tom recently took up baking pies, which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends. Above all, Tom loved his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he treasured every opportunity and moment he could share with them.
He is survived by his children, Matthew Forst of Hewitt, Charity (John) Schug of Spencer, Jason Forst of Spencer, and Brent Forst of Hewitt, six grandchildren, Brandon, Terrall, and Colton Schug, and Emmalee, Cooper and Olivia Forst, and great granddaughter, Lillian Schug.
He is further survived by his siblings, Richard (Sue) Forst of Stratford, Joan (Mark) Elfe of Spencer, David Forst of Marshfield, Mike (Judy) Forst of Marshfield, Robert (Deb) Forst of Marshfield and Judy (Brian) Caldwell of Marshfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Mary, the love of his life Georgia, and his beloved dog, Buddy.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the House of the Dove for their excellent care.
