Obituary

Our dear Mother Theresa, 87, Marshfield, died peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2015 at her home. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Savarimutha Selvaraj and Deacon Ray Draeger officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Thursday from 9:30 am until service time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Sacred Heart Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Theresa was born on January 11, 1928 in Spencer to John and Theresa (Hardinger) Fischer. She was united in marriage to Wesley F. Sydow on September 30, 1950 at St. John's Catholic Church. It was better than a storybook romance. After Wesley died on March 29th of this year, just six months later, Theresa reunited with her husband and the rest of her family in heaven. Theresa met Wesley at Roddis-Weyerhaeuser Company where they both worked for several years. During her spare time, Theresa enjoyed volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul in the library as well as serving dinner to the less fortunate. She was involved with Christian Mothers at Sacred Heart Church as well as Adoration every Friday morning. Some of her other favorite pass times were baking (she was an excellent baker!!), canning, playing dominos, Yahtzee, and sheepshead, golfing, and working out at the YMCA. She had many friends and family members in which she enjoyed all of her passions. She passed many of her talents on to her children. Florida was a home away from home in the winter months for over 20 years. Theresa will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Now she is home with her beloved husband Wesley. She is survived by 3 daughters, Joni (Matt) Larson of Marshfield, Mary (Todd Kopf) Spittel of Spencer, Juli (Erik) Hollobaugh of Bend Oregon, 3 sons, Mike (Diane) Sydow of Sheboygan, Bob (Mary Jane) Sydow and Steve (Cindy) Sydow, all of Marshfield. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Bill, Ben, Nicholas and Samantha Sydow, Josh Larson, Melissa Gore, Carey, Elizabeth and Connor Spittel, Naomi McCall and Max Griffin, and 11 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Betty Klawitter of Wisconsin Rapids, Jenny (Jim) Sternweis of Marshfield, Marcella Glinecki of Stratford, JoAnn Brown and John (Rita) Fischer, all of Marshfield and Lorraine Marks of Berlin. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, sisters, Annie Fischer, Rosie Rupaner and Marie Dietrick, and brothers, Robert and Ervin Fischer. Memorials may be designated in her name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
