Obituary

Theresa C. Linzmeier, 90, Marshfield, died on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Marshfield Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at St. Johns Catholic Church, Marshfield. Rev. Charles Stoetzel will officiate and Dorothy Gehrke will be the organist for St. Johns Church Funeral Choir. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield and on Tuesday from 12:30 pm until service time at St. Johns Catholic Church. A combined St. Johns Parish and Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary service will be held on Monday at 4:30 pm at the funeral home. Theresa was born on March 28, 1921 in the Town of Marshfield to George and Mary (Schneider) Bohman, Sr. and attended St. Josephs Parochial School in Hewitt. She was united in marriage to Richard L. Linzmeier on April 24, 1946 at St. Johns Catholic Church, Marshfield. He died on July 12, 2003. Before her marriage she worked for the Rudolph Binzel family. Following their marriage she and her husband farmed in Blenker for two years, then moved to Stratford and farmed in the Town of McMillan for twenty eight years. They retired in October 1975 and moved to Marshfield. Theresa was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed taking long walks, playing cards, gardening, canning and was a great cook. She enjoyed family gatherings and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is lovingly survived by six daughters and three sons, Diane (Ron) Kroening of Marshfield, Darlene (Stan) Marczak of Grantsburg, Mary (Dennis) Borchardt of Wausau, Glenn (Karen) Linzmeier of Marshfield, Lois (Jerry) Bugar of Marshfield, Sandra (Don) Tibbits of Stoughton, Mark (Brenda) Linzmeier of Stratford, Randy (Linda) Linzmeier of Marshfield, and Vicki (Rick) Eilers of Neenah. She is also survived by twenty eight grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters, Imelda Bauer of Marshfield and Rita Brown of Appleton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers and sisters, Anna Bohman, Margaret Resch, Dorothy Heinzen, Jacob Bohman, George Bohman, Jr., Edward Bohman, Walter Bohman, Eleanor Bauer, Peter Bohman, Joseph Bohman, Rose Reif, and Mary Peters. Memorials may be designated in Theresas name to St. Johns Educational Fund.
