Theresa Ann Gebhardt, 86, of Marshfield peacefully passed away on April 26 2026 at Three Oaks Nursing Home under the care of Heartland Hospice.

She was born the youngest of three on August 21st 1939 in Milwaukee to Joseph and Margret (Fiedler) Zakzesky. Theresa was raised in Wauwatosa with her siblings Marion (Mitzi) and Joseph (Joe). She was united in marriage in 1958 to Michael James Gavigan Sr. their union was blessed with five children: Mike, Rick, Shelley, K.Ann, and Pam. She later married Roy Gebhardt in 1988 in Fort Laud, FL and became a step-mother to Russ, Gary, Heidi, and Dana.

Theresa was a loving mother and grandmother first and foremost. Early on she had worked in catering and food service, but it was in her home where she most enjoyed her time cooking for those she loved. She also had an education in business administration and had worked for a while for the Waukesha County Register of Deeds. She returned to waitressing following Roy's passing. Theresa was an active woman and found joy in bowling and basketball, and showed how to relax with a fishing pole and some quiet.

She will be missed by her children: Michael J (Rita) Gavigan of West Bend, Richard W Gavigan of Pueblo CO, Shelley M Gavigan of Marshfield WI, K.Ann (Tom) Outten of Loxahatchee, FL, and Pam (Scott) Taylor of Norfolk VA, Russ Gebhardt, Heidi Gebhardt, Dana (Steve) Webber. She is further survived by 8 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, her stepson Gary Gebhardt, and her beloved dog Baby.

A Graveside Committal is being planned at St Mary's Visitation Catholic Church Parish Cemetery in Elm Grove, WI at 1pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 with a lunch to follow.
