Theresa E. (Kloos) Adams, 89, of EP539, Balsam Street, Stratford, died at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the House of the Dove, Marshfield, WI.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Saturday, April 2, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford with Fr. Sen Vethamanickam officiating. St. Joseph's Resurrection Choir will provide the music. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County with grandchildren as pallbearers.
Visitations will be from 4-8pm Friday at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Saturday at the church from 10am until service time. There will be 10am PCCW Rosary Saturday morning at the church.
Theresa was born on October 16, 1926, in the town of Day, Marathon County, the daughter of Martin P. and Anna K. (nee Brinkman) Kloos. She attended St. Andrew's Parochial School in Rozellville. As a young lady, she was employed as a waitress in Evansville, Ill. She then moved back to the Rozellville area where she met Eugene J. Adams. They were married on October 7, 1950 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville. Theresa and Eugene farmed in the town of Eau Pleine until 1979. She resided there until moving to the House of the Dove, on March 15, 2016.
Theresa was known to all family members as "Grandma". She enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards with her grandchildren, holding her great grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its PCCW organization.
Theresa is survived by her children Shirley (Robert) Wagner of O'Fallon, Mo; Karen (Dale) Heil of Stratford; William (Karen) of Phoenix, AZ; Richard (Sharon) of Hazelhurst, WI; Donna (John) Pribnow of Stratford, Larry of Stratford; Joan (Jerome) Mortenson of Birnamwood, WI; Alice (Charles) Brandt of Marshfield, Patricia (James) Schoenecker of Marshfield, and Nancy (John) Pospyhalla of Marshfield; and 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by her sister, Rosalia Schermetzler of Manitowoc and brother, Robert (Bev) of Rosendale.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, a son-in-law Scott Schoenecker, 5 sisters Mary Stockheimer, Loretta Weis, Mercedes Bangart, Evelyn Nikolai, Rita Kloos; and 4 brothers Harold, John, Raymond, and Cyril Kloos.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Sister Antoinette Bangart African Missions or to St. Joseph's Parish, Stratford.
