Obituary

Thelma A. Weissenbeck, 80 of Wisconsin Rapids and formerly of Marshfield died on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00am Thursday, September 13, 2012 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore with Fr. John Ofori-Domah officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitations will be on Thursday at the church from 10am until time of services. Martens/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Thelma was born on September 27, 1931 in Wisconsin Rapids to Oscar and Jane Feenstra. Thelma attended Pershing School in Sherry and then graduated from Auburndale High School. After her education, she worked as a secretary at Northern Auto offices. She was united in marriage to John S. Weissenbeck on June 4, 1963 at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield. John died on January 6, 1998. They farmed together in the town of McMillan, Marathon County until John's death. She moved to Milladore after his death and later to Wellington Place in Wisconsin Rapids. Thelma is survived by her brother Ted (Karen) Feenstra of Wisconsin Rapids and her sister Betty Jane Lang of Milladore. Besides her parents and husband John she was preceded in death by infant brother and her brother-in-law, James Lang. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
