Theda Marie Kasner, aged 86, of Marshfield, WI, passed away on November 15, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 22, 1937, in Oquawka, IL, to Charles and Beulah (Clark) Hall, Theda was the eldest of five siblings. She graduated from Broadview Academy in La Fox, IL, in 1955 and attended Emmanuel Missionary College in Berrien Springs, MI.

In 1958, Theda married Gerald Kasner in Arpin, WI, and together they raised two daughters, Tami and Nancy. Their family life was filled with adventure, moving from Wisconsin to Colorado and Arizona, always seeking new opportunities. In Colorado, they built their home from the ground up, a testament to their determination and love. Theda and Jerry returned to Wisconsin in 1972, purchasing a farm near Marshfield, before moving to Arizona in 1977, where Jerry opened a cheese store and Theda managed senior retirement communities.

Theda's love for travel took her to Europe, Hawaii, and Alaska. She returned to Marshfield in 1989, where she worked as an accountant, managed the Purdy, and retired from Marshfield Clinic as the coordinator of the Mobile Services van. In 2015, she met John Holland, and they married the following year, spending winters in Texas.

Theda is survived by her husband, John Holland; her daughter Nancy (Todd) Stobie; grandchildren Victoria, James (Tracy Burton), and Jake Rodriguez, Greg Fox, Jennifer (Matt) Craig, Erin (Beau) Davis, and Scott Stobie; ten great-grandchildren; and son-in-law Kenneth Reuterskiold. She is also mourned by her siblings Martha Tews, Sheila (Wayne) Mueller, and Billy (Sally) Hall, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years, Jerry Kasner, her daughter Tami (Kenneth) Reuterskiold, and her sister Barbara (Charles) Wernberg. Theda's legacy of love, resilience, and adventure will be cherished by all who knew her.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 14 at the Marshfield Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 714 W. 14th Street, Marshfield, WI. Visitation will take place from 1:30-3:00 pm with services starting at 3:00 pm and a meal to follow.
