Temple M. Beers, 93 of Marshfield passed away peacefully at the Atrium Post-Acute Care in Marshfield on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield with Fr. Nate Kuhn officiating. Cindy Penker along with St. John's Funeral Choir will provide the music. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield with grandsons as pallbearers. Visitations will be on Monday from 4-7pm at Rembs Funeral Home and again on Tuesday at the church from 9:30am until service time. There will be a PCCW Rosary service at 4pm Monday followed by an Eagles Badger Aerie 624 Auxiliary Memorial service at 6pm Monday. Temple was born on May 28, 1922 in Superior to Thomas and Nellie (Pepin) Tills. She graduated from Superior High School. After her education, she was a matron with the Washburn County Law Enforce ment and worked as a nurse at Spooner Hospital. In 1965, they moved to Marshfield where she worked at Marshfield Medical Foundation, retiring after 17 years. Temple was a member of the Marshfield Eagles Auxiliary 624 for 28 years serving on committees for the State of Wisconsin. She was an assistant secretary, Grandmother of the Year and was inducted into the State Hall of Fame. She was united in marriage to Howard C. Beers, Sr. on July 3, 1946 in Pine City, MN. He sadly passed away on March 15, 1999. Temple is survived by her children, Skip Beers of Marshfield, Thomas (Darla) Beers of Spencer and Diana Rogers of Medford; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother James (Doreen) Tills and a sister Judy (Don) Larson both of Florida. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a 2 daughters Nancy Nurmi, Janice Landwehr, son-in-law Bernard Rogers, daughter-in-law Linda Beers and 5 brothers.
