Sylvia I. Gawlikoski, 97, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center in Owen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford, where a visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Rev. Jerzy Rebacz will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the village of Stratford. Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford, is assisting the family. Sylvia was born on May 10, 1923 in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, to Adam and Helen (Gliniecki) Gawlikoski. After her education she lived and worked in Chicago until her retirement. She then returned to Stratford. She is survived by two sisters, Angeline Meyer of Stratford and Elinore (John) Callahan of Bristol and a brother, Gary (Charlene) Gawlikoski of Stratford and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Julian, Edwin "Wrangler" and Roman "Buba" Gawlikoski and sisters, Virginia Schoen and Beatrice Easker.
