Susan Hakey, 70, Neillsville, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at House of the Dove in Marshfield. No formal services will be held at this time. Susan was born on May 5, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Violet (Kaitschuk) Bush. She married Douglas Hakey and had three children. They later divorced. On August 5, 2009 she was united in marriage to Dennis Butler in Neillsville. He passed away on November 25, 2014. Susan was sassy and spunky in a fun-loving way. She loved crocheting, crafting, crossword puzzles, and riding ATVs. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Nicole) Hakey of Fairchild and Douglas Hakey Jr. of Sapulpa, OK, and grandchildren, Zack, Emilia, Spencer, Andrew, Samantha, Amanda, and Dexter. She is further survived by her sister, Violet "Babe" (Russell) Johnson, brother, William Bush, and good neighbor, Frankie. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Kenneth Hakey, husband, Dennis Butler, sister, Ruth Krug, and brother, Robert Bush.
