Obituary

Sue Writz, 62, Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield followed by a celebration of life at noon at Five-O-One Sports Bar & Grill, 501 S Washington Ave, Marshfield, WI 54449.

Sue was born on December 6, 1963 in Marshfield to Benjamin “Jack” and Margaret (Dellenbach) Writz. She graduated from Marshfield High School.

Sue began working at Weyerhaeuser/Marshfield Doors during her senior year of high school and remained dedicated to her career throughout her working life. Her profession and doing her job well were truly a passion for her. Outside of work, Sue enjoyed fishing, going up north, and participating in Packer pools. She especially loved riding Harley-Davidson motorcycle across the country with her fiancé, Pat. Above all, Sue cherished her family. She never missed an event or opportunity to support her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and treasured the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her brothers, Lee (Bev) Writz of Neillsville, Mark (Deb) Writz of Kenosha, sisters, Nancy (Steve) Trierweiler and Gayle (Mike) Fait, all of Marshfield, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Marge Writz, brothers, David Writz and Ron Writz, brother in law, Steve Trierweiler, and fiancé, Pat Pupp.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS), Clark County Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Central Price County Ambulance and the medical ICU staff at Marshfield Medical Center.

Sue was an organ and tissue donor, giving the ultimate gift of life to others.
