Steven M. Trierweiler, 66, of Phillips, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Andrew Belt officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield, and serving as pallbearers will be A.J. Trierweiler, Caden Iwanski, Jacob Trierweiler, Chad Zieher, John Niehaus and Matt Hilgart. Honorary pallbearers will be Ali Trierweiler and Alexis Hoffmann. The visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and from 10:00 am on Monday until service time at Christ Lutheran Church.

Steven was born on May 7, 1956, in Marshfield, to Theodore and Marlys "Mert" (Thuss) Trierweiler. He attended Marshfield Senior High School. He married Nancy K. Writz on March 19, 1977, at Christ Lutheran Church.

After his education he began his journey with Trierweiler Construction & Supply Co. Inc., eventually becoming President of the company after hard work and dedication, until his retirement in 2020. He was passionate about his work and took great pride in what he created and growing the business.

Steve was a member of the Wisconsin Concrete Pavement Association where he served as chairman of the board 2005 and 2010 and served on the board of directors from 2003 until 2012. He also was a member of the Marshfield Elks Club, the American Legion Post 54, and the Marshfield Eagles Club.

He enjoyed riding his UTV, pontoon boat and John Deere tractors, grilling out, sitting by his fire ring on the lake with friends and family and always making sure his concrete was spotless. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy, two children and four grandchildren; Jill (Jeremy) Iwanski of Marshfield and their children Caden Iwanski and Alexis Hoffmann; and Joe (Randi) Trierweiler of Phillips and their children A.J. and Ali Trierweiler. He is also survived by his siblings, Bonnie (Dennis) Steinmann of Mosinee, Sue (Allen) Oppman, Dave (Jacklyn) Trierweiler and Daniel (Barbara) Trierweiler, all of Marshfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Mert and his stepmother, Bernice.

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Marshfield Medical Center Oncology Department, Radiation Department, Radiology Department, 4th Floor & 8th Floor staff for their kind and compassionate care that they gave Steve. He will be greatly missed.
