Shirley Mae VanRyzin, 92, Marshfield, formerly of Stratford, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford, where the visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time on Wednesday. Rev. Sue Eidahl will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stratford. Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford, is assisting the family. Shirley Mae was born on September 21, 1926 in Loyal, Wisconsin, to Frederick and Violet (Getlinger) Huebner and was a 1944 graduate of Stratford High School. She was united in marriage to Ernest R. VanRyzin on June 19, 1948 at Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford, and they were married for 59 years. Ernest died on June 1, 2007. Shirley was employed at Huebner Pride Dairy as a bookkeeper and helper until retirement. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford, where she was a former member of the choir and was active with the Altar Guild and the Mary Circle. She enjoyed baking, cooking and flowers. She enjoyed several winters in Clearwater, Florida with her husband and parents. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and 7 Godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ernest, A daughter and a son in infancy, a brother, Everett (Lores) Huebner, a brother-in-law, Ralph VanRyzin and a sister-in-law, Florence Young.
