Shirley M. Hendricks, 95, of Marshfield passed away the morning of Friday, August 8th at Three Oaks Health Services in Marshfield with family at her side.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at the Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service with a lunch following at the Eagles Club in Marshfield. Father Douglas Robertson will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Kevin Newmier, Lee Strangfeld, Mike Coulthard, Brady Coulthard, Justin Wiseman, and Dan Netzer.
Shirley was born February 19, 1930, in Milwaukee, WI to David G. Sr. and Angeline (Van Pietersom) Moon. She was united in marriage September 20, 1947, in Milwaukee to Robert L. Hendricks. He sadly passed away on November 21, 2009.
Shirley attended Messmer High School in Milwaukee and was a dental assistant for 20 years. Shirley was a prolific knitter and crocheter, donating hundreds of items over the years to the hospital and charitable groups as well as making countless "special" items for family. She also kept herself busy with word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading and recently took up adult pastel art which filled many hours of her time and brought her great pleasure. Shirley enjoyed feeding the birds and tending her many plants.
Shirley is survived by her children: Susan (Rex) Roehl of Neillsville, Judith Netzer of Marshfield, Patricia (the late Bill) Watts (partner Tom Babbitt) of Stanley, and Robert W. (Teri) Hendricks of Widefield, CO. She is further survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren, and one sister: Carol (the late Ken) Allan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings: Marilyn (Harold) Vogt, Dolores Forrest, Geraldine (the late James) Pirwitz, David (Marilyn) Moon, Jr., and Thomas (Fran) Moon.
