Shirley A. Bredl, 68, Auburndale, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday evening, February 29, 2012. She courageously fought carcinoid cancer for 3 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 5, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale. Rev. Peter Raj will officiate and music will be provided by St. Mary's Choir and congregational singing. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery and grandsons, Troy Kieffer, Shawn Kieffer, Tony Conner, Tyler Conner, Cody Weichelt, Jordan Weichelt, and Jeremy Quirt will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and on Monday from 10:00 am until service time at St. Mary's Church, Auburndale. A Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be held on Sunday at 6:00 pm. Shirley was born on December 27, 1943 in Auburndale, the daughter of Leander and Monica (Kundinger) Kremer. She attended St. Joseph's Parochial School in Hewitt and Marshfield Senior High School. She married Charles J. Bredl, Jr. on May 5, 1962 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hewitt. She and her husband farmed in the Town of Auburndale. She also worked at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield for 21 years. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great grandma. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her dog, Mitzy, her cats, watching the birds and spending time in her flower garden. She is survived by her husband, Charles and their children, Eugene (Susan) Bredl, Cindy (Bernard) Kieffer, all of Arpin, Karen Bredl, Connie (Christopher) Conner, all of Marshfield, Lisa (Jerry) Weichelt, of Kirksville, MO, and Michael Bredl, of Auburndale. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers, Clarence (Eugenia) Kremer of Arpin, James (Marge) Kremer of Woodruff, Kenneth (Debbie) Kremer of Marshfield, Leonard (Diane) Kremer of Auburndale, Peter Kremer of Auburndale and David (Laurie) Kremer of Marshfield, and sisters, Diane (Lee) Grosskreutz of Marshfield and Janice (Bernard) Peters and by a sister-in-law, Marge Bredl of Marshfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law Donald Bredl. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
