Sharon A. Kohel, 68, Marshfield died on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the House of The Dove in Marshfield under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Rembs Funeral Home with Fr. Jesse Burish officiating. Burial will take place at St. Kilian's Church Cemetery in Blenker.
Visitations will be from 4-7pm Wednesday at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Thursday from 10am until time of services. There will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary service at 6:30pm Wednesday at the funeral home by the Marshfield Council #1799 and the Junction City Council #4646.
Sharon was born on May 24, 1946 in the Town of Green Valley, Marathon County to Albert and Ida (Carolfi) Ottelien. She was united in marriage to Jerry Kohel Sr. on October 2, 1971 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale. She and her husband farmed in the town of Milladore until 2003. Sharon worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Company in Marshfield from 2003-2013.
Sharon was a great lover of animals and music. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Kohel Sr. of Marshfield, and their children, Gerry Kohel Jr. of Marshfield, Judy (Steve) Hunt of Menomonee Falls, and Donna (Tim) Olson of Kasson, MN. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Dylan, Ethan and Ashlyn Hunt and Hannah and Emily Olson. She is further survived by her sister, Charlene Schug of Auburndale and her brother Don Ottelien of Auburndale.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Jerold.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in her name to The House of the Dove, Marshfield.
