Shari L. Ponshock, 52, Auburndale, passed on Saturday, February 10 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburndale with Fr. Peterraj Mariasamy officiating. Her family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 10:00 am on Thursday until service time at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A rosary service will be held at 4:30 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Shari was born on September 10, 1965 in Marshfield, to Peter and Mary (Rotar) Bohman and attended Auburndale High School. She was married to Steve J. Ponshock March 19, 1988 at St. Mary's in Auburndale. Shari was a hard worker who took pride in providing and supporting her family. A woman who would've travelled the world to eat, she enjoyed four-wheeling, cooking (especially for Monday night grill-outs), entertaining her family and friends, family time, and taking time to be a kid again with her grandson.
Shari is survived by her husband Steve; children Simone (Travis) Paul of Hewitt, Garitt (Jenna Pankratz) Ponshock of Auburndale; and her grandson Braxton Paul. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Bohman Pongratz of Hewitt and her siblings: Judy (Allen) Lang of Medford, Pat (Tom) Binder of Marshfield, Rose (Mitch) Maguire of Mosinee, Bev (Tom) Ott of Marshfield, Connie Zorman of Hewitt, Linda (Lee) Brumbaugh of Marshfield, Jacky (Tom) Altman of Marshfield, and Dave Bohman of Stratford. She is further survived by her in laws: mother-in-law Rose Janzen of Marshfield; Siblings-in-law Russ (Erma) Ponshock of Milladore, Angie (Mike) Hug of Arizona, Anne (Bob) Thomas, Vern Ponshock of Wisconsin Rapids, Fred (Dar) Ponshock of Auburndale, Pat (Tanya) Ponshock of Auburndale, Sarah (Randy) Teresinski of Granton, Mark (Brenda) Ponshock of Auburndale, Laurel Dalle Ave of Minocqua, Aaron (Deb) Ponshock of Marshfield, and Clare (Jim) Ladick of Vesper; and many many nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Peter Bohman, her stepfather, Norbert Pongratz; a sister, Jean Bohman; a brother, Dale Bohman; brothers-in-law, Jim Schiferl and Rick Zorman, father-in-law Clarence Ponshock, step-father-in-law John Janzen, and a nephew, Tyson Maguire.
