Sally Bremmer was born 10 September 1933 in the Town of McMillan, Marathon County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edward W. and Anastasia (Daisy Lecher) Hahn. She grew up on the farm at McMillan, the fifth of seven children. Like many girls her age, she worked at the local canning factory before her marriage to Louis R. Bremmer on 27 October 1951 at St, John's Catholic Church. Sally, who had only an 8th grade education, worked to expand her education in the hopes of entering the workforce. She took typing and bookkeeping night classes which provided the knowledge to work first at Figi's during the Christmas season and, once the children were in school, at Columbus High School in the food service area.

Louis and Sally moved to Stevens Point, Wisconsin in 1974. Louis passed away in 1978. After Louis's death, Sally worked at St. Michael's Hospital and waitressed at the Whiting Hotel. She also completed cosmetology school in Madison and opened her own electrolysis business. During this time, she met Ed "Smiley" Lakin who was her companion until his death in June 1996.

After Smiley's death, Sally moved from Fond du Lac to her current residence in Marshfield. There she met Dan Redman, who has been her constant companion. Dan and Sally had just spent the winter in Arizona.

Sally was always active, sewing and cooking, crafting, square dancing and playing cards with her family and friends.

Sally Bremmer is survived by her loving companion, Dan Redman, her daughters, Karla A. (Walter) Leppen and Judy J. Gray, four grandchildren, Andrew J. (Connie) Leppen, Jennifer L. (Joshua) Chiamulera, Jed A. (Lindsay Hattenburg) Gray, and Zane R. (Sarah Sticha) Gray, and five great grandchildren, Emma, June, Lena, Brayden, Zoe, and Eleanor. She is also survived by siblings, Robert Hahn, Stevens Point and Lucille (James) Schreindl, Marshfield.

Sally is preceded in death by her husband, Louis, grandson, Kenneth W. Leppen, brothers, William and Edward Hahn, sisters, Bernice Yeager/Meacham, Gladys Uthmeier, and companion, Smiley Lakin.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Marshfield Medical Center SICU and Palliative Care units for their kind care and support.
