Ruby, B. Brantner, 90, Marshfield, died on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Marshfield Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Rev. Samuel Martin will officiate and music will be provided by St. Johns Church Funeral Choir. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Johns Church. A combined St. Johns Parish and St. Johns Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be held at 4:00 pm followed by a Marshfield Eagles Auxiliary memorial service at 6:00 pm, both at the funeral home. Ruby was born on September 24, 1921 in Ogema, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Lukes. She married Ewald Ericson and they had three sons, Dale, Gary and Mike. They divorced and in 1953 she married Darrell "Tony" Brantner and they had two children, a son Jim and a daughter, Roxanne. Ruby was a waitress in the Marshfield area for the majority of her life and loved being around people. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women and was involved for many years with the Marshfield Eagles Club. She is survived by her husband, Tony and her children, Dale Ericson of Marshfield, Mike Ericson of Hinkley, MN, Jim Brantner of Phillips, and Roxanne (Robert) Scidmore of Menomonie. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers, Don (Ann) Lukes and Dennis (Joyce) Lukes and sisters, Pearl Olson and Kate Nussberger. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Gary.
