Rose M. Schallock, 80, Stratford, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at home.

A private family service will be held at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home in Stratford. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine.

Rose was born on January 9, 1944 in Pittsville to James and Margaret (Merkel) Chesmore. She married James Schallock on August 17, 1963 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield.

Rose enjoyed hunting and fishing.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Teresa) Schallock, daughter-in-law, Wendy Schallock, granddaughter, Jordan (Adam) Skrzeczkoski, and 2 great grandchildren, Savannah and Trenton. She is further survived by her sisters, Margaret McCormick, Beatrice Wheeler, and Kathleen Brill, brother, Danny Chesmore, and step-sisters, Sandra Peterson and Wanda Thurber.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret, stepfather, Walt Nehring, husband, James, sons, John Paul Schallock and Steve Schallock, siblings, Gerald Chesmore, Joseph Chesmore, Sonny Oliver Chesmore, Patricia Haselburger and Valentine Chesmore, and step-siblings, Rose Peterson and James Nehring.
