Ronald M. Marti, 86, Vesper, went home to the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper where visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time. Rev. Ryan Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Ronald was born on May 19, 1936 in Arpin, WI to Jacob & Cleo (Trotter) Marti. A 1954 graduate of Auburndale High School, it was there where he met the love of his life and high school sweetheart Arlene Kolstad. They married November 12, 1955 in Hewitt.

He started farming at age 17 and following their marriage Ron and Arlene bought his father's farm in Vesper where Ron and Arlene raised their family and farmed together for 67 years. They also enjoyed travelling extensively throughout Europe and wintered 40 years in Maui. Ron always had a smile on his face and with good reason: he was a happy, content man who always felt he was blessed with all he had. Ron was actively involved as a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper.

Ron is survived by his wife of 67 years, Arlene and their children: Melodee (Jerry) Cepress, and Mick (Kitty) Marti. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Jason (Tammy) Cepress, Marty (Jackie) Cepress, Travis (Melissa) Marti, Marcus (Tara) Marti, and Hannah (Sam) Phelan. He is further survived by 8 great-grandchildren: Mallory, Sawyer, Sedonia, Allison, Chloe, Jacob, Ryan, and Astrid. Other survivors include his sister Joan (Butch) Zubke, sister-in-law Bonnie Marti, and brother-in-law Don Frazier.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, brother Art Marti, sister Judy Frazier, and in-law's Gilman and Laura Kolstad.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial for Ron will be established at a later date.
