Ronald R. Bornbach, 84, died on Friday, December 3, 2021 at home with his family at his side.
A Requiem Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Oratory, 325 Grand Avenue Wausau, with Canon Aaron Huberfeld, Rector, officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Marathon, Wisconsin. Military Rites will be provided by the Stratford Memorial VFW Post 6352. The visitation will be held on Monday, December 6th from 4-8pm at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home in Stratford, and again on Thursday from 9:00 am until service time at St. Mary's Oratory, Wausau. Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Ronald was born July 31, 1937 at his parent's home in Rozellville the son of Joseph and Viola (Potts) Bornbach. He worked for Rollohome before being drafted into the Army on October of 1960 where he drove truck for Company C of the 83rd Engineer Battalion in Ingrandes, France. After his Honorable Discharge in 1962 he again worked for Rollohome until taking over the family farm. He married Susan Rogan April 30, 1977 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville and together they farmed until 2003. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing sheepshead, and watching Packers Football.
Ron is survived by his children: Beth Bornbach and her daughter, Johanna; Joseph and Gabriel Bornbach, all of Rozellville; and daughter-in-law Niki Rogan and her children, Anne (Ethan) Bares, Jon, Claire, Ben, Luke, Jacob, Gemma and Blaise. He is further survived by siblings: Marie Esser of Marshfield, Pat Meyer of Wind Lake, Joyce Rogney of Auburndale, Elaine (Butch) Joswiak of Stratford, Ken (Cindy) Bornbach of Machesney Park, IL, Jean (Paul) Stueber of Stratford, and Matt Bornbach of Rockford, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Susan, son Michael Rogan, and sisters Eunice Bohman and Catherine Bornbach.
