Roland A. "Bud" Seeman, 93 of Marshfield died Monday evening, January 30, 2012 at the House of The Dove under the care of Ministry Home Hospice. Funeral services will be 10:30am Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield with Rev. Mark A. Krueger, officiating. Burial will be in Loyal City Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post # 175 of Loyal. Visitations will be on Saturday from 9:30 am at Rembs Funeral Home until time of the service. Bud was born on March 2, 1918 in Algoma to William and Ida (Picha) Seeman. He graduated from Loyal High School and Wausau Business Institute. His first job was at Underwood Veneer Co. in Bessemer, MI where he worked as a bookkeeper and was a court stenographer for four years. Bud served in the United States Army from May 1942 in Australia, New Guinea, Philippines and Japan until his honorable discharge as a staff sergeant in December of 1945. He returned to Loyal and was elected to the Common Counsel and was treasurer for the Loyal Industries. He had been a member of the Loyal American Legion Post # 175 for 65 years and long time member of the VFW Post # 1866 of Marshfield He was united in marriage to Arlene Johnston on April 18, 1942 in Loyal. She passed away on March 18, 1990. He then married Lorraine F. Buser Bartell on September 11, 1993 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield. They traveled and lived in Florida during the winter months. Bud is survived by his wife Lorraine, two sons, Vaughn Seeman of Marshfield and Kurt Seeman of Eau Claire; two step daughters Julianne Kay Bartell of Marshfield and Joni Peterson of Arpin; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is further survived by one brother Marvin (Hazel) Seeman of Marshfield. Besides his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a infant daughter Renee and a sister Eileen Luther. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to ALS Foundation.
