Roger W. Aschenbrenner, 83, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Marshfield Health Services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Dan Thelen will officiate. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Entombment will take place at Gate of Heaven Columbarium. The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at 9:00 am. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Roger was born on December 1, 1940 in Auburndale to Robert L. and Lovilia A. (Kroh) Aschenbrenner. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School. Roger worked as a mason tender for various companies until his retirement in 2000.
He enjoyed bowling, playing softball, listening to polka music, playing Cribbage and other card games, Thursday dice shake at Rose Bowl, and watching sports, racing, Packers, Brewers and Polka Joe. He was also known for answering "whatever" and "I 'spose" to any questions. Roger was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Marshfield.
He is survived by his siblings, Robert Aschenbrenner of Stratford; JoAnn (James) Bornbach of Marathon; Kenneth (Nancy) Aschenbrenner of Marshfield and Gary (Bonny) Aschenbrenner of Stratford, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lovilia, sister, Joyce, and sister-in-law, Bev Aschenbrenner.
