Robert J. Schneider, 80, Marshfield, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Ministry St. Josephs Hospital, Palliative Care, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. James Logan officiating. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am until service time at Rembs Funeral Home. Robert was born on August 7, 1930 in Auburndale, the son of Ulrich "Ole" and Ella (Haselberger) Schneider. He married Marsha L. Buckley on October 21, 1961 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield. As a young man Bob worked on the family farm and later was a cheesemaker at Wiskerchen Cheese Factory. He then was employed at Wick Building Systems, Marshfield for thirty years until his retirement. He enjoyed listening to polka music, boating, bowling and the Milwaukee Brewers. He is survived by his wife, Marsha and three sons, Michael (Carmen) Schneider of Greenfield, Indiana, Gerald Schneider of Janesville, and Ron Schneider of Tomah. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two brothers, William Schneider of Auburndale and Donald (Linda) Schneider of Marshfield. He was predeceased by his parents. Memorials may be designated in his name to the Alzheimers Association.
