Robert F. Obernberger, 72, Marshfield, died on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 12:30 pm until service time at Rembs Funeral Home. Robert was born on June 3, 1941 in Marshfield, to Alois and Helen (Hoffmann) Obernberger. He married Kay M. Willert on April 5, 1968. She died on September 23, 1989. Bob had worked as a professional truck driver for various companies in the area. He enjoyed music and played guitar. He and his wife performed in their own band. He also enjoyed baseball, softball, fishing and woodworking. He is survived by 2 sons, James Glynn of Wisconsin Rapids and Lee Obernberger of Montgomery, AL. He is also survived by 3 sisters and a brother, Rita (Gary) Gay of Patagonia, AZ, Fred Obernberger of Florida, Joan (Myron) Kolbeck of Auburndale, and Mary (Heinz) Porysiak of Stratford.
