Robert C. Nestle, 84, Marshfield, died on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Miller Alternative Care under the care of Ministry Home Hospice with his family by his side. Robert was born on July 11, 1931 in Milwaukee, to Frederick & Bertha (Dietrich) Nestle and was raised in Brookfield. After his education he served in the US Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953. Following his military service, he sold hardware for a variety of companies in the Milwaukee area, retiring in 1994. He married Ruby Young in October of 1956. She sadly passed away December 6, 1990. Robert married Kathleen Ferris in November of 1993. She sadly passed away September 2, 2004. Robert was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed fishing on Rolling Stone Lake and playing cards with his family. Robert's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Robert is survived by two daughters: Amy (Tim) Puechner & Patty (Ruiz-Compos) Nestle; two-step daughters: Karen (Russ) Hermes & Amy (Barry) Cole; and two step-sons: Kirt (Melisa) Nieft & Martin (Jen) Ferris. He is further survived by ten grandchildren: Justen (Fiance-Diana) and Kersten Puechner, Jessica and Angie Hermes, Austin, Grayson, and Colin Cole, Maya Secola, Ashley Ferris, and Kassandra (Ruiz-Compos) Nestle. Robert is also survived by one great-grandchild: Riley Ferris. He was preceded in death by his parents and both of his wives. A private memorial service will be held by the family.
