Robert L. Krueger, 87, Pittsville, died peacefully with loved ones by his side on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at his home in the Town of Wood.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am on Saturday until service time. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 153 of Pittsville following the service.
Robert was born on May 17, 1928 in Pittsville, to Leonard and Margaret (Dupee) Krueger and attended Pleasant Corner School in Pittsville. He then worked on the family farm. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to Bessie L. Dibble on April 10, 1958 in Pittsville.
Bob worked at a variety of family farms in the area and then was employed at Nekoosa Papers until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Sharon (John) Wellnitz of Occonto Falls, Raymond (Jackie) Hall of Simms, Montana, Steven (Ann) Krueger, Peggy (Glen) Kumm, all of Casper, Wyoming, Dennis (Penny) Krueger of Pittsville, Marion (fiancé – John Petras) Krueger-Theama of Greenwood, and Deborah Krueger of Pittsville. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. He is further survived by sisters, Betty Montag of Wisconsin Rapids, Nancy Nelson of New Glarus, and a sister-in-law, Patricia Krueger of Pittsville.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, a grandson, a great granddaughter, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and too many other family and friends to list.
