Robert E. Koplien, 86, Milladore, died on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the House of the Dove, Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 22, 2016 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Sherry, with Rev. Mark Lundgren officiating. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Town of Sherry. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am on Monday until service time at St. Luke's Church. Rembs Funeral Home, is assisting the family. Robert was born on August 4, 1930 in Arpin to Ervin and Elsie (Ziebel) Koplien. He attended Meadowbrook School in Arpin and Auburndale High School. He married Linda L. Whitney on May 24, 1958 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Auburndale. Bob was employed at Wisconsin Valley Concrete, Wallace Becker Trucking, Becker Trucking and then Earth, Inc. until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed working in his shop. He is survived by his wife, Linda and their children, John (Karla) Koplien, Roger (Nancy) Koplien, and Nancy (Todd) Koplien, all of Milladore. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a brother Leonard Koplein of Arpin. He was predeceased by his parents, a son Ronald, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
