Robert J. Kaas, 91, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at House of the Dove, Marshfield.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will take place in Corpus Christi Cemetery, Bakerville at a later date.

Robert was born on March 10, 1933 in Marshfield to John and Anna (Hosek) Kaas. He married Rosemarie Weigel on September 14, 1955 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville.

Robert worked as a millwright for Roddis Plywood, salesman for Badgerland Fertilizer, and eventually started his own business, Kaas Sales, Inc. in 1962. After retirement, he served as the fire chief for Rock Township volunteer fire department. He enjoyed old cars, trucks, and tractors, and going to auctions and flea markets.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie, daughter, Vivian Gamble of Spencer, sons, Raymond Kaas of Oshkosh and Russell Kaas, grandchildren, Kenneth, Beth, Megan, Krystal, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Curtis, Brandon, Amanda, Seth, and Bo, and 20 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister in law, Sara Weigel.

He was preceded in death by his children, Mary, Ruth, and Kenneth Kaas, granddaughter, Alesha, great granddaughter, Hazel, daughter in law, Marlisa Kaas, sister, Joan (Don) Phillippi, and brothers and sisters in law, Dick (Betty) Weigel, Marcella Martin, Mildred (Jerry) Wehe, Evelyn (Virgil) Hill, Lena (Bill) Sterzinger, and Peter Weigel.
