Robert F. "Bob" Imhoff, 90, Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at home with his wife and family by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial and a celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, October 7, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:30 am until service time at St. John's Catholic Church. A combined St. John's Parish and Knights of Columbus rosary service will be held at 6:30 pm on Sunday at the funeral Home. Bob was born on February 19, 1923 to Joseph and Mary (Karlen) Imhoff. Bob, the youngest of nine, grew up on a dairy farm with his family in the Town of Emmet. On November 13, 1948 he married the love of his life, Rita Ruplinger at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marathon. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. Bob and Rita took over the family farm until they moved to Sherry in 1961. From 1961 until 1970 they owned and operated Sheriland Ballroom. In April of 1970 they sold the ballroom and moved to Marshfield for retirement. Bob loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed playing cards and going on trips. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita and their son, Gary (Cheri) Imhoff of Marshfield and a granddaughter, Briana (fiancé – Dustin Whittington) Imhoff of Hayfrield, MN. He is also survived by a sister, Marie Furger of Marathon. He was predeceased by his parents, 3 sisters, Helen, Agnes, and Sadie and 4 brothers, Edward, Louis, Alex and Joseph, Jr. and a grandson, Joseph Robert Imhoff.
