Obituary

Robert John Fehrenbach, 91, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, formerly of Reedsburg, WI and wintered in Mesa, AZ, died peacefully with his family at his side, on Friday, February 2, 2018, at the House of the Dove Hospice, Marshfield, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am until service time. Rev. Eric Berns will officiate and the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree will form a guard of honor. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery at a later date. Military rites will be conducted at the church following the service by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1866 of Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Bob was born in Marshfield, on October 1, 1926, to Karl and Lucia Kraemer Fehrenbach. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp Aviation Cadet program in 1944, at the age of 17 and was discharged as a sergeant in October 1946. He was married to Bernice Dorothy Adler for 69 years and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on May 8. He is survived by his wife Bernice, and four children. Michael (Jenny) of Sauk City, WI, Thomas (Colleen) of Baraboo, WI, Susan (Thomas) Gullick of Mequon, WI, and Kris Fehrenbach-Alt (Michael Alt) of Fond du Lac, WI. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Anton Fehrenbach, Jacob Fehrenbach, Ericka Prell, Tim Fehrenbach, Amy Gullick Sheridan, Allison Gullick Booth and Katie Martin. He also has 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Jane Trossen of Decatur, GA and Joan Wenzel of Sparta, WI. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his four brothers, James, Donald, William and Norman Fehrenbach. The Fehrenbach's had a successful photography business in Reedsburg, Sauk City, Mauston and Waunakee, WI. Robert started his photograph profession with John H. Keel Photography, Marshfield, WI, on September 1, 1947. On September 9, 1963, started his own studio in Reedsburg, WI. He served over 20 years on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association and held the office of President in 1976. He received his Master of Photography Degree in 1976, Photographic Craftsmans Degree in 1976, National PP of A Award in 1983 and Hall of Fame Award 1985 from the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association. He was a charter member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, an honorary Life member of The Knights of Columbus, John Eisen Council #1799 and The Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly.
